TERM 2, Stage 2/3 Combination - History - Sydney Parkinson: A Plant and Animal Explorer

With this class, I wanted to do some printmaking, so I took an artwork that I taught with Year 7. years ago. The students will be using scratchfoam to create their printing plate so the worry with injuries is zero. I don't think the age difference between students in Years 4 and 5 to that of those in Year 7 (high school) will make any difference..... (Apologies for the blurry image)

TERM 2 - Stage 1, Year 2 - History - The Hawkesbury Flabbit ( A different artwork to Year 1)

Year 2 will also be making a flabbit artwork, but their work will involve collage. I again took a previous artwork and modified to suit my needs. Students will add wings to create a flabbit.

As a kid, I loved History. If I had not decided to train as a Visual arts teacher, I would have trained as a History teacher. Really looking forward to teaching this Term.... I have taken an artwork that I previous modified and have modified it slightly again to suit my needs... To this artwork, students will add wings to create a  flabbit (flying rabbit).

So here is the first of 6 new programs that are cross curriculum with History from ES1 to Stage 3. Feel free to use or modify whatever you want.....    Kindy is going to create digital self portraits in a Pop Art style. Unfortunately, because I got super sick and was absent from school for 4 weeks, I have had to modify this artwork so that we can start Term 3 with a new artwork that is in keeping with their set program.    So, students will now add their name at the bottom of the artwork with the word, Me, added somewhere on the artwork, where the student would like it placed. I am thinking this will take maybe two lessons. STUDENT ARTWORKS:  This is the background which will be photocopied onto A3 size white cardboard. Students will colour it in with Sha
