DIGITAL ARTWORK incorporating the Elements of Art - iPad app - PAINNT

Image
This is an artwork that I will present to a group of my students at some stage during the year. Its a really easy app to use and students should be able to engage with it without too many issues.    My plan is to create the digital image but then manipulate with drawing media such as chalk pastels. I will print the portrait out on matte photographic paper as the surface will allow any media to adhere to it. Its not expensive paper but it is really good!!!    I will spray the artwork with matte fixative then apply some line   work that will extend from the image onto the background. the background will be A3 coloured cardboard, a colour that complements the colours in the digital portrait.    The line work will be done with posca pens and paint markers. Fine tip pens and black markers will to used to create definition and re-establish the portrait after layers of media have been applied. So far, I have created Instructions...

ELEMENTS of ART - Worksheet Booklet for Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2 students

Image
I have accepted a temporary position in a primary school teaching visual arts two days this year, so I decided to put together some little worksheet/booklets for my students.    Some of the worksheets are information only, while others are interactive where students can show their understanding by completing simple little tasks that relate to that particular element.    Until the Term gets into swing (which I'm sure will not take long), these little booklets will fill in nicely. Feel free to use them They are in jpeg format. I included some literacy and some expressive writing opportunities. Some of the pages were created by me, others are combinations of images from free-to-use worksheets, free-to-use images and free clip art found on Pinterest.
