MAJESTIC MAMMALS - Lion and Lioness - Variation 1

If there is one animal that I know kids love to draw, its lions. So, I thought I'd create an artwork called "Majestic Mammals" that will enable them to do that plus fit in with the K-6 syllabus Science. I am sure that there are other areas of the Science syllabus that this artwork would cover at some level.

* STAGE ES1 - I would do this artwork with kindy kids simply because is would be fun.

* STAGE 1 Science
-identify that living things live in different places that suit their needs (ACSSU211) (Where do lions and lionesses live? Why do they live there? Could they live in Australia?)

* STAGE 2 Science
ST2 - 4LW-S: Compares features and characteristics of living and non-living things (Compare and contrast the similarities and difference between a lion and a lioness. How why are they different? Why are they different?)

*STAGE 3 Science

-examines how the environment affects the growth, survival and adaption f living things - ST3-4LW-S (Why do lions and lionesses live in Africa? How do they survive? How have they adapted to living in Africa? How does the climate affect how lions and lionesses live?)

This what the artwork looked like before I added the red to the eyes. If desired, the artwork could be completed at this stage and no further media added
