DIRECTED DRAWING - Baby Orangutan

 I was asked to turn a previous artwork of a baby orangutan into a Directed Drawing Artwork as some teachers were having a bit a trouble in drawing the orangutan. I created Instructions and previously posted them April 3rd, 2022.

This is NEGATIVE DRAWING where students drawing in white onto a black background. I did not complete the artwork (but I will) as once drawn, the teacher could use oil crayons, acrylic paint pens, coloured charcoal, any media that will contrast against the black background.

   I put together a booklet for the staff of the primary school I work in. They were wanting to learn about clay and some ideas of what they could do with their students.    Following are pages from the booklet in jpeg format. Feel free to use it or any part of it. I collected information and ideas from Pinterest and there is no intention of claiming any of the ideas or sculpture works as my own. ELEMENTS of ART - Worksheet Booklet for Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2 students

    I have accepted a temporary position in a primary school teaching visual arts two days this year, so I decided to put together some little worksheet/booklets for my students.    Some of the worksheets are information only, while others are interactive where students can show their understanding by completing simple little tasks that relate to that particular element.    Until the Term gets into swing (which I'm sure will not take long), these little booklets will fill in nicely. Feel free to use them They are in jpeg format. I included some literacy and some expressive writing opportunities. Some of the pages were created by me, others are combinations of images from free-to-use worksheets, free-to-use images and free clip art found on Pinterest.

STUDENT ARTWORKS - NEW CUBISM with Kindergarten/Year 1 Composite Class

I first posted this artwork back on 21st October, 2008 so it was time to drag it back out again. It is such an easy artwork to do with any age students as Cubism allows students to create images that don't rely on any true elements of realism and proportion. If their artwork looks weird that's great. This is the latest collection of artworks from a Ms Parkinson's Kindy/Year 1 composite class at Windsor Public School (NSW, Australia). We had a great time creating these images and the students enjoyed using watercolour pencils and posca pens.  The white posca pen outlining was done by myself and some Year 6 helpers. I did add teeth and highlights in the eyes if the student asked me.
