DIRECTED DRAWING - Year of the Rabbit - Cross-Curriculum Priority - Engagement with Asia

I started creating artworks to acknowledge the Chinese New Year, so this Year it is Year of the Rabbit.

I have made Instructions for two directed drawing artworks but have not created a sample artwork as yet. I am thinking that the rabbit would be drawn as a detailed lead pencil drawing to explore TEXTURE and then glued to a red background that would then have the Chinese word symbol drawn around it in metallic acrylic paint pens...that's the plan anyway.

But I thought I would make the post now so teachers could have access to the Instructions and decide on how the artwork could be completed themselves. There is also a worksheet for older students as a Self-Directed Drawing.
