This artwork was created for Stages 2 and 3 but I will create a directed drawing beginning steps for Stage 1 and an artwork for Kindergarten and Support students.

Please feel free to explore other options for using the MEDIA TECHNIQUE as it is a very simple technique but achieves a very realistic simulation of watercolour effect, is bright and colourful.

    Such an amazing set of sketches and paints. The Sketches look so live and filled with a lot of joy. Encouraging your child to paint is one of the important things we all should do as parents.    I put together a booklet for the staff of the primary school I work in. They were wanting to learn about clay and some ideas of what they could do with their students.    Following are pages from the booklet in jpeg format. Feel free to use it or any part of it. ELEMENTS of ART - Worksheet Booklet for Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2 students

    I have accepted a temporary position in a primary school teaching visual arts two days this year, so I decided to put together some little worksheet/booklets for my students.    Some of the worksheets are information only, while others are interactive where students can show their understanding by completing simple little tasks that relate to that particular element.    Until the Term gets into swing (which I'm sure will not take long), these little booklets will fill in nicely. Feel free to use them They are in jpeg format. I included some literacy and some expressive writing opportunities. Some of the pages were created by me, others are combinations of images from free-to-use worksheets, free-to-use images and free clip art found on Pinterest.

STUDENT ARTWORKS - NEW CUBISM with Kindergarten/Year 1 Composite Class

I first posted this artwork back on 21st October, 2008 so it was time to drag it back out again. It is such an easy artwork to do with any age students as Cubism allows students to create images that don't rely on any true elements of realism and proportion. If their artwork looks weird that's great. This is the latest collection of artworks from a Ms Parkinson's Kindy/Year 1 composite class at Windsor Public School (NSW, Australia). We had a great time creating these images and the students enjoyed using watercolour pencils and posca pens.  The white posca pen outlining was done by myself and some Year 6 helpers. I did add teeth and highlights in the eyes if the student asked me.
