STAGE 1 Year 2 GEOGRAPHY CONTENT - Place: Japan ARTWORK: KOI CARP

Last one - I have been wanting to do this artwork for some time and this is the perfect opportunity to do so. I think the kiddlings will enjoy creating this artwork as it involve making one artwork, adhering it to a background and continuing to build on the first artwork. As always, use and /or modify whatever you need.....         Please note that I have placed the wrong art appreciation worksheet in the program. The worksheet below is the one that should be issued to students .....

STAGE 1 Year 1 GEOGRAPHY CONTENT - Place: Mexico ARTWORK: Dahlia OPTIONAL ARTWORK : Eagle

The Year 1 students will like creating this artwork as the technique I have decided to use is different. I have not used this technique with students in this school before, so it will be something new for other students and staff to see.    As with other Geography/Visual Arts programs I have written so far, I decided on keeping with the national flower, plant and animal of each country the teacher had decided to focus on. It made it easier for me to do some quick research and very easy to find resource images and so. As always, feel free to use and/or modify whatever you like. I have not had time to create my own artwork but I will very soon and post it as well......

The following program is for a class that has a combination of Year 4 and Year 5 students. I based the content on Stage 3 content but I will provide opportunities that will extend the Year 5 students as they are creating their artwork. I will show them media techniques that will enable to build upon their art making skills.    All images are in jpeg format as I cant upload word documents. Feel free to use my program, any part of it or modify it to suit your needs.    When I have created by 'show-and-tell' artwork, I will include it in this post also....   I did not create the drawing of the komodo dragon. Full credit for that goes to the person who did.

A CHANGE IN MY POSTS

Hello Everyone,    First of all a huge, big thanks to everyone who keep checking in on my posts. It appreciate it very much.    Secondly, you will see a change in the most posts from now on. I am working in a school now, as "the art teacher", creating artworks that support teachers and students with what they are doing in class.    At the moment, Geography has become my focus area in Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) and Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6).    Stage 1 is a work in progress but Early Stage 1 (Kindergarten) are going to create an artwork based on the rock paintings of Kakadu National Park using their hands as stencils with spray paint, acrylic , black fine tip pens, paint pens and black markers. Nothing like a bit a paint and mess to start the year off!!! Don't worry, the students will NOT have their hands sprayed with spray paint. They will trace around their hand and up their ark a little bit and I will cut it out. The stencil of their hand and arm is cardboard.......BUT..
