The students finished their artworks today. They are so cute...….

TERM 3, STAGE 3, Years 5 and 6, SCIENCE: Living World - Living Together - Sustainability - Green and Golden Bell Frog

This will be the first time I have presented this artwork to any students, so I hope it goes well.     I made a change to the border and, instead of using posca pens, paint and metallic markers, I substituted a collage border using green and light yellow (gold) paper which students will tear into elongated shapes and glue down. The elongated shapes represent the markings on the frog's skin. I think this new border will look better.    The green and gold paper for the border is actually a vintage map of the area in which the green and gold bell frog lives in Sydney, Australia.

TERM 3, STAGE 2/3, Years 4 and 5 SCIENCE: Living World - No More Elephants

My students have been asking me for a while when they were going to do the "elephant artwork" and I thought it was a good opportunity to attempt it now. I think the kids will be pleased to know that they will get to create this artwork, they seem to all like it a lot. I originally created this artwork to suit the Geography syllabus but I think it also applies in Science as well.    Note: I had to purchase the bleeding tissue paper from overseas as it cannot be acquired in Australia. At least, I have not been able to find it in Australia. I got it on eBay at a very reasonable price.
