CHINESE NEW YEAR - Year of The Dragon

 Each year I create an artwork in keeping with the tradition of Chinese New Year.

 Cross-curriculum priorities - the cross-curriculum priorities are:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures 
  • Asia and Australia's engagement with Asia 
  • Sustainability.

   This year happens to be the Year of the Dragon and what child doesn't like to draw a dragon. I do have another dragon artwork that could be substituted. This was posted 1st June 2021 under the title....DRAWING DRAGONS Mixed Media Artwork (Watercolour paints, acrylic paint pens, blk markers, etc)

   However, I wanted to use gold cardboard as the background and so I created the following....










INSTRUCTIONS:











   I will create a DIRECTED DRAWING artwork for students in ES1, Stage 1 and Support Units and add it to my blog. 
   I know many teachers like the directed drawing tasks, and I have found that students respond really well when directed through a drawing.
